Bosham is one of the earliesy coastal communities in the south of England and alledgedly where King Canute did not hold back the tide.
Bosham was mentioned in the Bayeux Tapestry and is depicted as the place where Harold and Edward the Confessor met on the way to meet William of Normandy.
